HP Laserjet 1005 performance slow

Hi,

I'd purchase 2 HP Laserjet 1005, for my customer. I'd install the latest hplip into Ubuntu Linux 8.04, so far print result is quite fine(Thanks for the developer and article writer). However I found that the performance is unacceptable slow. In windows start spooling -> print 1 pc paper ~ 8 Sec. In Linux spooling -> print out ~30 second. My customer facing big trouble right now.

Hope to get support from hplip developer.

Hi Ks, are you using HPLIP? I tried with this steps http://marconipoveda.blogspot.com/2008/07/imprimir-en-una-hp-laserjet-1020-desde.html and its going just fine.
