seek for linux-driver for hp laserjet 2320nf

Asked by Florian

Is there or will there be any SUSE Linux driver for HP laserjet CM 2320nf that supports printing and scanning (and probably faxing)? Seems that HP only supports Win and Mac at the moment.
Can you help?
Thanks

I was not able to find a driver package specifically for this model, but often models that are very close can use each others driver sets. Here is the best match I could get.

http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-LaserJet_2300

It recommends the Postscript-HP driver set, which is probably already installed. You can configure it using the "Printing" setup under the System>Administration>Printing utility.

As far as the scanner and fax are concerned, printer drivers are not going to get those working. You will need scanner and fax machine drivers, respectively. They may already be working if they follow a standard communication protocol.

Launch XSane and see if you can scan an image. Here is information to get you started.
