Problem Hp printer 1020 in Suse 8

I have Database server in suse 8.0 and web application on windows 2003 server that access to database server to handle information.
we need to manage print by suse linux server but i installed printer in workststion that can seen by suse linux.
therefore in "yast printer" begin to configure printer to do this,but i can not find any driver related to HP printer laserjet 1020,then i download hplip-2.8.9 and want to install in suse linux server ,that in install step i got below error:

Mahdi,

We don't test on Suse 8 because it was released in 2002. It's highly doubtful that all functionality will work on Suse 8--specifically fax and status support. HPIJS does not support the firmware upload so it's not possible to only use HPIJS with this printer. Also it's very possible that the version of python from back then doesn't support all of the features of the newer python. You could try using the manual install..but it's likely you'll encounter some challenges.
