Have Aspire one & Deskjet1460 not reconising the labtop

Connected my Acer Aspire one to a HP Deskjet D1460, it loaded the drives and when it finished it printed a test page. Then it wouldn't print again, saying jobs were pending, the green power button continues to flash, It said that there wasn't a printer connected to the netbook.
