Can't install newer version of hplip

Asked by Jeff B

I have an Acer Aspire One(Linpus Linux Lite OS). I was trying to update hplip from 2.7.7-6 fc8, presently on the Acer, to the new release 2.9. When I tried to install the new release it asked for the type of Linux. It was my understanding Linpus was a derivative of Feodora so that is what I chose. It errored and told me I was missing some dependencies. Did I make the correct choice and if so where do I go to download the missing dependencies? The reason for the update I have a new printer (HP Photosmart C5280) that is not in my version of hplip even though the site says it's supported by version 2.6.
