Cartridges & HP psc 1315

Asked by guly

Hi guys, I wanted to ask you a information to holders of HP printers, even if you do not have my exact model of printer ....

The problem is CARTRIDGES!!

I have a printer HP psc-1315 all-in-one, it works perfectly on my ubuntu 8.04 with HPLIP 2.8.7 compiled from source.

I finished cartridges, as I have always done since 1998 from my first printer HP (I had three HP printers with this), I bought two cartridges compatible.

I insert the cartridges, turn on the printer, makes the usual cycle of start and....ta tannnnnnnn surprise :D

It all arrest and starts flash the led "check the print cartridges"

I insert two new original HP cartridges (code: C6656A-black / C6657A-three-colour) and everything works perfectly.

Also you happen these situations?? I in recent years I have much more concerned with printers and I had no need to buy new cartridges...
There is also a date printed on the cartridge....

On specialized sites selling chips reconfigured, reset for cartridges, etc, etc....it is normal? The cartridges have a expiration date?

Do you have a printer of the family HP psc???(also the model is not equal to my)

I thought of asking here, because certainly you are in contact with more printers than myself.....

Possible solutions???

Thanks to all, excuse me for my English :P

Guly,

Thanks for contacting the HPLIP team. From the problem you are describing this is not related to the HPLIP project. It does however seem to be a hardware problem. The best place for troubleshooting this would be to contact HP Total Care at http://www.hp.com.

Sorry we couldn't help more.
