Mint 18 install HP Laserjet CP1025 color

I am helping a neighbor connect his Laserjet (CP1025 color) to the laptop.

I was able to follow the directions in
 http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/linuxmint.html until section 5, whereI had to give the command "make" as a regular user. This is the remark after I gave the "make" commandcd: I did not give a target and no makefile was found.
I am sure I was actually in the hplip-3.16.11 directory and the files Makefile.am, makeuri.py and Makefile.in are in the folder -- whatever the terminal says.

Possible problems:
The language of the desktop where the folder is situated is Swedish. So I get the return *** Inga mål angavs och ingen makefil hittades. Stannar. Is "make" looking for a Swedish language name?
Then I do not know what kind of Pyhton (2 or 3) Mint 18 Mate is using.

The laptop in question is a Lenovo G70
