Banner problem.

Asked by Brian36

Banner problem.
-------------------------
I don't want banners. It's OK with Libreoffice.

However I get top and bottom banners with text (ascii) printing and bottom banner with pdf printing.

I tried resetting Envy4500 and HPLIP Toolbox.

The OS is LinuxMint 18.1 (Ubuntu derivative).

How do I stop banners globally?

This is NOT an HPLIP problem. I tried deleting HPLIP, and using the CUPS configuration tool, found the same problem. However, using another 'user' in the system, all worked OK. I could not see anything in the user config files which alluded to the problem. Finally, I reinstalled the system and all now works as it should. Not a satisfactory answer, but at least I no longer have banners!
