Unable to connect to M402dw from Fedora 25
I am trying to get a network printer setup in my office. We don't even care to mess around with wireless (although we couldn't get that working, either) and would be perfectly happy with the thing wired into the wall and printing over the wired connection.
I am running Fedora 25, although others in my group have Arch and Ubuntu.
The printer is a HP LaserJet Pro M402dw.

Finally, I see the printer on one of our Windows machines, added it, and printed to it, so the thing does work (flawlessly) on that OS.
I have tried googling these problems and can't get it sorted out.
I have already tried reinstalling cups-filters and adding a2ps
There are (at least) two problems:
1) My firewall settings aren't allowing hp-setup to search for and find the printer (and the instructions provided by HP at http://
I can see the printer on the network when I use the built-in printer manager or when I run hp-setup with the firewall disabled.
2a) With the firewall disabled, I can see and add the printer in hp-setup, but then I cannot print a test page, with the following error:
error: Unable to communicate with device (code=12): hp:/net/
error: Unable to print to printer. Please check device and try again.
2b) If I just try to use the default printer manager, I see my printer and select it, then select the correct ppd.gz driver from /usr/share/
