cannot scan from envy 7460 to sytem 76 computer

Just bought a new hp envy 7460 all in one machine. Cannot scan from printer to my system 76 computer which uses ubuntu. Do i need additional software downloads?

Scan function now works even though i have not made any other changes ....strange.
