HPLIP

use hplip with new photosmart with no drivers for windows ME

Hi, I'm aware that this may not be the best place to ask this, but I have no idea where there might be a better place: does somebody know if it is possible to install/compile HPLIP driver for Windows Me? I've got a HP c5280 and seems to work perfectly (provided some modprobe) on one of my Linux boxes, so I was wondering if it can replace the lack of official drivers for that SO? (not the same box)

Thanks for any comments on this idea, and keep on the good work (I have some experience making things work on Linux and I'm really impressed).

HPLIP only supports Linux systems.

You can check http://www.hp.com for the possibility of any ME drivers--but I'm sure you checked there already.
