printer(H.P. officejet4630)will not print; no option to print on printer??

Asked by carlpotter

On my printer, it shows that I have the option to copy, fax, scan, wireless direct, printables, & more. Since I have absolutely no option to print, the "Printables" looked like the best option to print something. Under "printables", there were other options-nothing worked. Then I tried clicking on "file"-upper left. I clicked on print. There was a message saying," H.P. officejet-4630 series owner-HP-compaq-dc77oop-Small-Form-Factor unplugged or turned off. I think I have everything turned on?? I have plenty of black/color ink
Also, Will not copy-shoots out a blank page.
I'm simply trying to find out hot to print something-ANYTHING. Also trying to copy. Now, for a while, it was copying just fine.
I'm confused.

Hi,

In order to print you are required to install HPLIP-3.16.11 on an ubuntu device, followed by hp-setup to connect the printer with the device.

Download and install the latest HPLIP from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/install/index.html

Thanks,
kritika
