Greetings
                   Error while installing hplip 2.8.5 on opensuse 10.2:
                 Runnig make clean
                 command completed succeesfully

                    running 'make'
                    make failed status code 2

                background:
                                        printer hp deskjet 3650
                                    I have added the printer ( yast : hardware:add printer) before installing driver.
                                     could that have caused this problem ?

               The system seem to have hplip-2.7.6 installed.
               In which case need i insatll 2.8.5 ?

The Deskjet 3650 is supported with hplip 2.7.9 or greater. So you'll want to upgrade regardless.

Please try downloading and installing hplip 2.8.7?
