Linux network scanning - no; Windows - yes

Why some HP devices support network scanning from Windows, but do not support this feature when using HPLIP?

An example of such device is HP n1522, but there are more such models.

Is there any work being made to add network scanning feature to these devices? Any timelines?

With the LaserJet n1522 scanning is not supported regardless of network/usb.

We are hoping to add support sometime in the near future. Sorry for any inconvenience.
