Why is Linux Mint version 18 not included on HPLIP website choices

Why is Linux Mint version 18 not included on HPLIP website choices ?

I see version 17.1, 17.2 & 17.3 but no version 18.

The latest HPLIP 3.16.8 has support for Linux Mint 18.
