ASUS Eee Laptop Wireless

Asked by wrsather

Is the wireless setup by Linux in the ASUS Eee 2G Surf laptop compatible with an Apple Airport Wireless Access Point? Is a new driver required that is not resident in the laptop. I can see the Airport WAP in the setup menu and get all the way through to connecting includung WEP encryption. Then the status becomes "Pending" and no wireless connecion is made.

This forum only supports the HPLIP solution.

However you could do a search such as:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=eeepc+Apple+Airport+Wireless+Access+Point&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f

And from my personal experience is possible try to connect to the AP without any encryption and see if that works first and then troubleshoot from there.

Thanks for your support for HPLIP.

Hope this helps. :)
