Driver for HP P1008: When is the release

I need a basic laser printer. The new model HP P1008 and P1007 do not have HPLIP based linux drivers. When are drivers for these to be released?

The P1008 will be supported in the next release of HPLIP. Although I can't give a specific time frame, I can say that the release will be "soon".

It actually appears that we wont be supporting the P1008 until at the soonest the release after this upcoming release.
