OfficeJet Pro L7590 (7580 with duplex device)?

Asked by pistazienfresser

Hi,

does the OfficeJet Pro L7590 work with HPLIP? I think the l7590 is a l7580 with a duplex device so it should at least be supported the one-sided-printing and all the other things the OfficeJet Pro L7580 can do. (I am thinking of buying a All-in-One-device and use it via ethernet/LAN and an AVM Fritz! Box Fon 7270 router with my laptop both on Linux openSuse 10.3 and Windows XP).

I've added this model to the Officejet Pro L7590 and it will be supported in the next release. Sorry about that!

Thanks a lot, Aaron.
But I am not sure: What is the status now? Can I use L7590 saying linux it would be a L7580? Would than the one-sided-printing and all the other things the OfficeJet Pro L7580 can do be supported?
Greetings

Martin,

I have a two year old Photosmart All-in-One 2575. I re-added but choose the ppd for the OfficeJet Pro L7500 Series. It printed the test page with several lines of informational black text and a sample colour picture fine.

So, I would say it is very likely that the L7590 will print fine with the L7580 driver.
