Uninstall HPLIP

Asked by Paulo Gomes

I have installed HPLIP 2.8.4 in a Debian 4.0 Etch system using the Automatic Installer. I would now like to "clean" my system before upgrading to Lenny. Is there a way to uninstall HPLIP (make uninstall, for instance) or can you provide a list of the files to remove and their locations?

You can go into the hplip source directory and run:

make uninstall

or you can run:

rm -rf /usr/share/hplip

Hope this helps.
