officejet pro 8620-e second page scan upside down

Ubuntu 16.04; hplip 3.16.3; xsane
Scanning over network or usb, second side is upside down. It must be rotated in xsane before saving.
Scanning from device to computer results are same.
I have tried all manner of settings without success.
