Photosmart 2575

Asked by Jen1963

The HP Photosmart 2575 isn't listed on on your hardware page but I can tell you it works fine on Ubuntu 7.10 'Gutsy'. Just Install the HP drivers, from the Ubuntu Repositories, via Synaptic; then run 'sudo hp-setup' from a terminal.
Funny thing, this unit works fine under Ubuntu but under Win XP the drivers caused an irreparable BSOD on reboot on my box. I dumped XP altogether anyways so no loss. 100% Ubuntu here. ;)

Hey Jen!

The Photosmart 2575 is supported by HPLIP. On the page:

http://hplip.sourceforge.net/supported_devices/combined.html

And search for the Photosmart 2575.

Honestly our supported pages are under heavy redesign to make these more clear in the future. Sorry about that. However I greatly appreciate your report and support of HPLIP.

Glad to have you in the Linux community--welcome!

Aaron
