Qooppa won't scan using HP 8620 office jet

Using Qoopa > I click on scanner icon>says searching for devices>says "there are no sane sources installed".
I downloaded the HPLIP from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/officejet/hp_officejet_pro_8620.html. Still does not work. I'm trying to get it to work on my hp office jet 8620 not the other printers listed on the log.

I can scan using XSANE, but onlyu images the ocr doesen't work on this either.

I've been to a few ubuntu forums no luck. I'm running mint 17.1
