Hello!

HP's download servers are down this weekend (7-18-15 and 7-19-15) for maintenance. Meanwhile, reference this:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/649963/hplip-gives-a-error-messages-when-trying-to-installing-plug-in-for-hp-p1102w-pri

You can probably close this one after HP restores its servers to service.

I wish solving my issue with my Ubuntu SSO was this simple. Tired of the ivory tower, it's easier to just create a new account every time it won't let me on...

Sourceforge site is down for some reason and unfortunately hp-plugin utility is not able to fetch the plugin.conf from sorceforge site.
Can you directly download the plugin files from here:
https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run
https://www.openprinting.org/download/printdriver/auxfiles/HP/plugins/hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run.asc

To install the plugin file you can run command 'sh hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run' in terminal or you can run command 'hp-plugin' in terminal and choose the second option to manually select the hplip-3.15.7-plugin.run file and install.

Run command 'hp-setup' to configure the print queue.

Thanks for the help. I did use goutam's solution and just directly DL's the files and installed them.

However, when I did the hplips install on my laptop late this afternoon, it failed once, then worked perfectly
when I retried. So my guess is the servers have come back up. OR they did for a few minutes anyway.
