HP LaserJet M128 printer scan not working on Red Hat Linux 5.3

HP LaserJet Pro 100 MFP M128fw
Printer installed successfully on Red Hat Linux 5.3.
USB connected.
Printing working fine.
Tried Apple Image Capture did not work.
Want to confirm, does Scan function supported in these OS version? if yes, steps to fix the issue?

Hi,

Can you try below steps.

=> Install HPLIP from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/redhatenterprise.html

=> Reconfigure print queue using below commands.
       => hp-setup -r (remove all print queues)
      => su -c "hp-plugin"
       => hp-setup

=>Try printing and scanning now.

Have you tried scanning from xsane application and 'hp-scan' command ?
Provide us 'hp-check' command output.

Hi Guys,

thanks for the suggestion.

While performing hp setup, getting "Network connection not detected" error.

Kindly suggest further steps.

Can you provide us the output of the command
hp-setup -i -g <IP>

Where <IP> is IP address of the printer.

Also let us know if you are able to ping to the printer.
