HPLIP

very few printing options with HPLIP

Hello,

the hplip-ppds have very fey options compared with
the normal Cups-PPDs (eg. in http://www.linuxprinting.org/download/PPD/HP/)
Is there any other advantage for my "normal" printers
(HP Laser Jet 2200/2430/4300, HP Color Laserjet 3505/4600) ?

What features are you missing? I am not aware of any missing functionality, in fact the hplip driver provides much more functionality then the cups ppd.

Please elaborate on the functionality you are missing and I can look into each and provide more detailed information.

Overall HPLIP provides status, tools, fax, scanning, and many other features that are not available for many printer models without using HPLIP.

sorry, I've choosed the wrong PPDs (not the Postscript-PPDs). Now everything works.
