Change the Paper Type

Asked by Martin J.

Hello,

how could I change the paper type, e.g. to transparent ?
(hplip 2.8.2, Ubuntu 6.06). I don't find any way to do that
for my printers:

hp:/net/HP_Color_LaserJet_CP3505
hp:/net/HP_LaserJet_2200
hp:/net/hp_LaserJet_4300
hp:/net/hp_color_LaserJet_4600

Thanks

Martin

Martin,

There isn't a selection for transparency however if you put the transparency in the tray and print using letter it should print out okay. We're looking at adding a separate selection in the future to lessen the confusion. I have verified with the LJ 4300 series that it prints correctly with a transparency with letter paper selected.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your report and support of HPLIP!

Any news to this topic?
I use a Photosmart d5460 - trancparency printing is essential to me.
The printer often does not recognize the transparent film
and if, the printout is light grey instead of black

Can you help with this problem?
