HPLIP shows error message in KF5 desktop

Asked by Freek de Kruijf

When starting the KDE KF5 desktop an error message pops up with the header "HPLIP Status Service", the message "No system tray detected on this system" followed by "Unable to start, exiting. I did put an icon, blue circle with hp in it, in the system tray by right clicking on that icon somewhere in the Start Menu. This mess still appears.

HPLIP is used on openSUSE Tumbleweed with installed KDE Plasma5 software. Right after installation of the Plasma5 software the error message occurs after starting a KDE session.

The problem is solved in a newer version of HPLIP.
