Black Ink cartridge not working
I changed from Windows Xp and am now using Linux and it won't print in black.
It is the same for all types of document.
I have the latest version of HPLIP and am also trying to clean the cartridge via the Toolbox but it won't let me perform the task.
The wizard comes up and I press ok and the printer makes a noise but that's it.
I have aligned the cartridges.
I have also run su -c "hp-plugin".
It prints in colour ok but a little blurry and not as well defined as with Windows.
The Distro is Linux Mint Maya 13.
Can you help? Thank-you so much.

HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.

supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in response. Can you please try the following.
1. Remove the existing print queue using 'hp-setup -r' from the terminal.
2. Reconfigure the queue using 'hp-setup' again. Make sure that it picks up the correct PPD.
3. Try Printing now.
Let us know if the problem still persists and paste the output of 'hp-check' again.
Thanks and Regards,
Srikanth Lokare
