Hi Francis,
Can you delete the existing print queue for this printer using command "hp-setup -i -r" in terminal and re-configure the print queue by running command "hp-setup -i -g" in terminal. If you still see "Device communication error" please provide us the terminal output of "hp-setup -i -g" command.
Also provide us the output of "lsusb -v" command.

Thank you for the logs.
We are investigating this issue. While we investigate can you try changing the connection to different USB ports and re-try configuring printer and let us know if you are seeing the same behavior irrespective of whichever USB port the printer is connected.

I have always the problem.
Sometimes it prints a few leaves then returns no communication error;
I don't understand .....
