Can http://hplipopensource.com/ add a ppa for hplip?

This would make it easier to maintain the most recent version of the HPLIP. Even .deb files would be better than the script.

I second this question. The current installation method is really clumsy and removing hplip shipped with Ubuntu also removes MATE-desktop metapackage.

Can you help with this problem?
