No support for ScanJet 200?

Asked by VK Sameer

Hi,

I'm not able to connect to the ScanJet 200 on a LinuxMint 15 (Olivia) box.

lsusb | grep -i hewlett:

Bus 001 Device 009: ID 03f0:1c05 Hewlett-Packard

hp-info brings up a dialog "No devices found".

I purchased the HP ScanJet 200 in preference to a Canon LiDe 110 because I thought HP had out-of-the-box support for Linux and was shocked to see it is not in the supported list at http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/combined.html.

Can this be added? I'll be happy to provide any debugging help.

Regards,
Sameer

Hello Sameer,

HP ScanJets are not supported by HPLIP. Please contact HP total care to get appropriate Linux driver.

Thanks,
Sanjay
