can't get required plug-in during hp-setup install

Asked by sbsgillet@gmail.com

I just tried to install hplip-3.14.3 on ubuntu 12.04 (dell xps 13), and get an error at "required plug-in" step .
Here's the procedure I followed, and how it stopped:
1. Manual install
2. sudo hp-setup
3. On te "Driver plug-in installation", I chose "download and install the plug-in from an HP authorized server (recommended)" ).
4. After a few seconds, a "licence agreement" pops-up. I checked the "agree" box, then clicked "next"
5. A "Plug-in install failed" error pop-up appeared

PS: on the terminal, I could find this message:
error: The printer you are trying to setup requires a binary driver plug-in and it failed to install. Please check your internet connection and try again. Visit http://hplipopensource.com for more infomation.

Any help would be appreciated.
