scan to computer has poor quality and vertical lines

I,m using simple scan on an ubuntu o.s. to a hp 8600 office jet pro.
is the ptoblem the printer/scanner or my software. Copy works fine. Help please

Hi Rod Walker,

Try to do scan with resolution of 200 or 300 dpi.

You can also try with xsane and hp-scan tools.

If still quality is not good, provide paste hp-check output here.
