Any maunal way to configure a new HP printer except the comman "hp-setup" tool?

We encountered some problem on discover new HP Printer via the "hp-setup" tool and we want to try the manual way.
So any command line method to discover or configure new HP Printer ?
Or just edit the /etc/cups/printers.conf is the manual way? Thanks!

Hi,

HPLIP remands to configure queue using hp-setup, please let us know exact issue in discovering.

--> Run following commands and provide us the output
$ hp-check
$ hp-setup -g

However, queue can be configured using CUPS interface also (http://localhost:631/admin/)
