HPLIP

my printer says to contact HP because there is a problem

There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on if problem persists contact HP. I have turned the printer on and off at least a hundred times. All I did was replace the ink with GENUINE HP cartridges. I just bought this printer. Please assist.
