Difference between HP LaserJet 100 Color MFP m175b and m175nw?

Asked by Marcel

I'm planning to buy the HP LaserJet 100 Color MFP m175nw for use as a network printer in a linux environment (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint). The HPLIP page about this printer (http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/color_laserjet/hp_laserjet_100_colormfp_m175nw.html) tells me networking I/O is not supported. But the page about the m175b model, tell me network I/O is supported. I can't find any more information about the b-model.

The question is, will I be able to print/scan over the network (wired or wireless) using the HPLIP driver and the m175nw model?

Thank you. I found out the m175b model lacks an ethernet port and wireless compared to the m175nw. The respective HPLIB pages seemed to have it mixed up before, but it looks better now.
