i am using ubuntu and i have a hp deskjet 3051a that i cant install properly

i am trying to install my hp deskjet 3051a. it has wireless capabilities. i am trying to install it using wireless/802.11, it will install it and after that it will prompt me that i can print wirelessly. then when i tried to print a connection failed will happened. then when i connect the usb chord it will print. how will i do it so that my printer will print wirelessly. thank you.

Hi,

Can you please follow below steps to configure the Wireless (wifi)

1) Connect the printer to system using USB. And assign IP address using this command

$ hp-wificonfig -g
or
$ hp-setup -g
--> select 3rd option, (Wireless/802.11 ..)

-->Follow navigation. At end it shows IP address in UI.

2) setup Printer using this IP address (USB can be removed now)

$ hp-setup <Above IP address>

3) Try printing now..
