HP LIP 3.13.3 for HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m duplexer option greyed out!

Asked by Ed Bakker

Hello,

As with the one before last version the same problem with the last version of HP LIP 03.13.3 software:

the 'duplexer option' for my HP Printer Photosmart Premium C309g-m is present (!) .... but again 'greyed out'; I cannot active it!
Therefore I can not print both sides of the paper!

Nowhere I found an option to activate this very option....
Is it me? Or a glitch in the software?

Kind regards,

HI,

Can you enable the Duplexer from cups interface
(http://localhost:631 )

1) Open http://localhost:631 in the browser.
2) Go to printers and then select the printer.
3) Default options -> Options Installed -> Duplexer -> installed.
4) Now try printing from any application.

If above steps dont work then please change default value of Installable option for duplexer in /etc/cups/ppd/<PPD_NAME_OF _THE PRINTER> and then save the file and print from any application.

Hello Sanjay,

Thanks for your quick reply!

I've checked the CUPS options and (even) managed to 'Save' my options; something about which you did not write anything!
So far it seems to work alright!

A pity that one cannot change options in the HP Device Manager but only via CUPS in the browser!!
But still; it works now!

Thank you very very much!

Kind regards!
