No Wireless Communication with new 6520 Printer

I have a new laptop running Ubuntu 12.10 and a new 6520 printer. I downloaded and installed HPLIP-3.13.3, which is supposed to support this printer. When I connect the USB, the setup routine finds the printer and appears to install it. At the end of the setup, it displays 2 messages. One says the wireless setup was successfull. The other says an ethernet cable is attached and preventing communication with the printer. With the cable attached, the printer is recognized. When I disconnect the cable, it says there is a communication error.
