graphical interface for hplip

Asked by José Young

I am running Mint 13 and it has hplip installed. From the hplip web site it showed a graphical interface. But I find no way to activate it.

I am using a HP Deskjet f4280

"whereis hplip" shows a file at /usr/share/hplip

Typing hplip as a command line does nothing

Thanks for help

José

Hi,

HPLIP is not a command and is package.
If you are looking for hplip commands, please use following command to perform any functionality.

1) to setup printer/device, run 'hp-setup' command
$ hp-setup

2) to open tool box for settings, run 'hp-toolbox' command
$ hp-toolbox

--> to know more about commands, orun 'hp-toolbox' command and click on "Help--> Contents "

Thanks & Regards,
Amanrath
