HP m1005 MFP ubuntu 7.10

dear sirs,

i have looked for solution for my new HP printer that i bought and didnt came accross any good answers to make scanner work.
printer and copy is working perfectly but scanner cant get detected. i have found some solution for ubuntu 7.04 and tried to make it work

could you tell me if detection of scanner on HP M1005 MFP will be posible in new versions of HPLIP and if u can tell when?

We are working on possibly in the future providing support for scanning. However because of limitations beyond our control we can't say for sure if/when we will be providing this support.
