HPLIP

hplip-2.7.12.tar not installing

We have downloaded the hplip-2.7.12.tar, untar it and from the folder when we are trying to run the make it does not work. We are trying this on Redhat enterprise linux4 update 5. We have also tried with sefl extractor, that also does not work.

The automatic installer does not support RHEL.

You'll want to follow the directions here:

http://hplip.sourceforge.net/install/manual/distros/redhatenterprise.html

Although they are a little outdated, so I'd appreciate any comments you have.
