libjpeg support

I recently bought an HP Deskjet F4140 All-In-One printer and would like to use it with my Linspire 6.0 operating system, which I also recently bought. I tried to install it using the tarball of HPLIP. It looks like it's configuring, but at the end, I get a "no libjpeg support" message, after which it stops configuring.

Do I need to get libjpeg for my system? If so, where can I find it?

I can't find libjpeg at the CNR web site, which is how install my software.

I installed libjpeg-progs and tried again, but I got the same result. The error message was the same as the first.
