my computer will not turn on or off and when I try to print from the printer it will only print 1/4 of the page

I have a 6500 all in one and the printer will not turn on or off. At one point it read"turning on or off by pulling the plug can damage the unit". It has been unplugged by mistake a few times.

If OS is other than Linux OS, please contact HP total care @ www.hp.com
If OS is Linux, please let us know which distro and hplip version information. post us following command output
$ hp-check
