new HP Office Jet Pro 8600 can't find the ink jet cartridge..nothing in machine

I can see what I think is the cartridge over on the r.hand side of the carriage but have no idea how to get it to the l.hand side...have just installed via usb link and not doing anything about internet yet...just want to get the ink in the machine and get it going....

Hello Jennifer,

Are you using Linux for printing. If yes then please power on the printer and then place cartridges inside the printer. After that please install HP linux driver from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html.

If you are not using Linux for printing then please contact HP total care for further assistence.

Thank you Sanjay...I sounded like such a fool and very embarrassed. I asked a fellow who works with my husband to come home and have a look at it and it was an easy fix for him...everything is working well now and thank you so much....
