Printing on two sides does not work

Asked by seerix

Hi,

There is a issue with manual duplex (printer LJ 1022nw, HPLIP 2.7.10,
Debian 4.0r1). When I print with "lpr -o sides=two-sided-short-edge",
it prints all pages on one side without time to re-insert paper.

I saw these instructions:
http://hplip.sourceforge.net/howtos/printing.html#manualdup.

So, it means that this feature is not realized? Is there a chance to
get it in the future? As I understand, now I have to print even pages,
re-insert paper, *return to my computer* and send another job to print
odd pages. But in time I walk, anyone can print something on my pages.
Instead of that it is good to do it in one job just to pressing button
in printer after re-inserting (as in Windows). Is it possible?

It looks like the laserjet 1022 doesn't have an auto duplexer option.

Although it is supported by the windows driver, however hplip does not currently support it.

Sorry about that.
