Printer mechanism moves, but doesn't print hppsc1210

Whenever I attempt to print something the printer mechanism moves, that is the paper feeds through, the ink cartridge moves from left to right as if it is printing something. The ink fails to move from the print cartridge onto the paper.

It doesn't appear to be an issue of ink, because I have managed to photo copy a paper (via the printer) and it prints out correctly.

Any help would be appreciated.
