HPLIP

slowprinting

I have HPLIP 3.11.10, Device Manager 15.0(Qt4)
At school we have an HP Laserjet P1008 printer. I use Fedora 16. I thought Laserjets were fast, but this one prints very slowly. It prints a page, then stops, then the next page is sent as a job to the printer. But all I am doing is printing 40 copies of the same simple text page. At home I have a Deskjet 1050 and that prints faster than this Laserjet.

Why doesn't it the print controller just tell it to print the page 40 times? Can I make it faster?

Hi,

Fedora16 is currently not supported by HPLIP latest release (3.11.10). It will be supported in the next upcoming release. Please wait for the next release. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
