printer control claims printing complete but has not printed

Printer HP Deskjet D1660
OS Kubuntu 10.04
hplip installed and working

Whatever i try to print, the test page or anything else, it shows in the HP Device manager status tab
Started a print job
and a second later
Print job has completed
only, the printer didnt do anything!

The last time i used the printer was on a windows system and it worked ok.
Any suggestions what might help?

Hi,

Can you please try rebooting the device and the machine. If the problem still persists, run "hp-check -t" from the terminal and post the complete output here.
