Why not update http://hplip.sourceforge.net/plugin.conf

Asked by John Doe

Given that the hp-setup and hp-plugin commands download the configuration file at
http://hplip.sourceforge.net/plugin.conf
to work out where to download the plugin it's occurred to me that it would save a lot of people a lot of hassle (and eliminate the stream of questions about failed plugin downloads posted here) if that file were updated to point to copies of the various plugins hosted somewhere other than [open|linux]printing.org.

I don't imagine I'm the first person to have thought of this. Is there a particular reason it hasn't been done?
